Post-Publication Discussion Policy

Post-Publication Discussion Policy

Journal of English Education Studies (JEES) encourages responsible scholarly discussion of published articles as part of its commitment to academic integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement. The journal recognizes that critical examination of research may continue after publication and that constructive academic dialogue can strengthen the interpretation, reliability, and application of research findings. Authors, readers, researchers, and education practitioners are encouraged to raise relevant questions or provide evidence-based comments on published work.

Post-publication discussions may address theoretical interpretations, research methodology, data analysis, educational implications, limitations, or other scholarly matters related to published articles. Comments should be supported by clear reasoning, reliable evidence, and relevant academic references. The journal welcomes constructive disagreement and alternative interpretations when they contribute to scholarly understanding. Personal criticism, discriminatory statements, unsupported accusations, and comments unrelated to the scientific content of an article are not acceptable.

Readers or researchers wishing to submit post-publication comments may contact the journal through its official communication channels. Submissions should identify the relevant article by title, DOI, or publication URL and explain the issue being raised. The editorial team will examine comments for relevance, academic value, factual accuracy, and compliance with professional standards. Where appropriate, the journal may invite the original authors to respond or request an independent assessment from qualified experts.

Substantive comments and author responses may be considered for publication when they make a meaningful contribution to scholarly discussion and meet the journal's editorial requirements. JEES does not guarantee publication of every comment received. If a discussion reveals a significant factual error, methodological problem, or possible research misconduct, the matter will be addressed through the journal's Corrections and Retractions Policy or Allegations of Research Misconduct Policy. Academic disagreement alone is not sufficient grounds for retracting an article.
