Copyright Policy

Journal of English Education Studies (JEES) respects the intellectual property rights of authors and promotes the responsible dissemination of scholarly knowledge. Authors retain copyright ownership of their published articles and grant JEES the right of first publication. Copyright ownership remains with the authors unless a different arrangement is required by applicable law or a valid agreement involving the copyright holder.

By submitting and publishing an article in JEES, authors authorize the journal to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and preserve the work as part of its scholarly publishing activities. This permission supports the journal's responsibility to make articles publicly accessible, maintain permanent publication records, and ensure the availability of published research through appropriate indexing and archiving services. The journal does not require authors to transfer exclusive copyright ownership as a condition of publication.

Authors retain the right to share and distribute their published articles through institutional repositories, personal academic websites, research networks, and other scholarly platforms, provided that the original publication in JEES is properly acknowledged. Such distribution must comply with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) applied by the journal. Authors are also permitted to reuse their work in subsequent academic publications, provided that appropriate citation and acknowledgment are given.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original and do not infringe the intellectual property rights of others. Any third-party copyrighted materials, including figures, tables, photographs, or substantial text extracts, must be used with appropriate permission or under a valid legal exception. The copyright policy applies specifically to published scholarly content and does not automatically determine the ownership or permitted use of the journal's website design, logos, or other administrative materials.
